October 3-4, 2018 at Zaporizhzhya National Technical University (ZNTU) within the framework of the project BIOART «Innovative Multidisciplinary Curriculum in Artificial Implants for Bio-Engineering BSc/MSc Degrees (586114-EPP-1 -2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP)» the 1st meeting of BIOART project was held, which was attended by a delegation from the Vinnitsa National Technical University in the composition Oleksandr Hrushko (Professor, Doctor of Sciences, Professor of Materials Strength and Applied Mechanics Department, Head of the Institute of Master, Postgraduate and Doctoral Degree Studies, Project Coordinator at VNTU), Serhii Tymchyk (PhD, Prof. of Biomedical Engineering Department) and Inna Vishtak (PhD, Assis. of Department of Safety of Life and Security Pedagogy).
The results of the first year of project implementation and planning for the next period were presented by the project coordinator David Luengo (University of Polytechnic of Madrid, Spain). From the group of Ukrainian performers, the results of the first year of the project were presented by the coordinator of the BioArt project in Ukraine Galina Tabunshchyk (ZNTU).
Participants of the project also took part in the IX international scientific-practical conference «Modern problems and achievements in the field of radio engineering, telecommunications and information technologies» held in ZNTU.
During the meeting, the round table «Prospects for the development of the knowledge triangle science-education-production in the field of biomedical engineering and intellectual artificial implants for bioengineering» was held, which was attended by both project partners and specialists with extensive experience in the manufacture and implementation of artificial implants In particular, some modern achievements are presented for improving the cooperation of the project implementers of BIOART project and potential employers:
- Modern Approach to Implants in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (Motivation and Perspectives) (Badnauy A., Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of National Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences);
- Implants in ophthalmology: reality and prospects (Maxym Bezuglyi, Ph.D., Department of Ophthalmology, Zaporizhzhya State Medical University);
- Experimental-clinical substantiation of osteosynthesis by implants on alloys based on magnesium (Vadym Chornyi, Ph.D., Zaporizhzhya State Medical University).
- Prospects for the development of domestic implants of Motor-Sich JSC (Yakovleva A.)
On October 5, Ukrainian partners of the BIOART project conducted preventive monitoring with representatives of the National Erasmus + office (NEO Ukraine), who arrived at ZNTU. During the monitoring, all Ukrainian partners of BIOART presented aspects of project implementation at their institution (meeting-interviews with project teams Universiti-partner's; meetings with responsible persons for financial management of the project at ZNTU; meeting with project participants who are not official partners of the project; BIOART session at the conference; meeting with the students who are the main target group of the project; review and discussion of the project documentation; publications and other results that arise in the framework of the project development; compilation preliminary monitoring findings (team NEO-Ukraine))
